Fur Goblins is a project where I get to make cute little kitty sticker designs for cat parents that want to see their little fur baby immortalized forever!

Apart from the classic breeds im making, I’m also designing a bunch of the goblins into little cosplayers that are accessorized as famous characters throughout media.

With these elements, I want to give someone an ability to turn what I made into a way to create a version of their own cat! This is practically my version of making a Funko Pop of yourself, but with kitties!

Fur Goblins started from a ghost cat drawing that I just randomly sketched out at work one day. I saw it in my head annd it wouldn’t go away. I then opened it in Procreate and started redesigning the shapes.

I was planning on making the design a ghost cat for my Tiny Terrors collection. But the more I kept playing around with it, It became something on its own.

From there, I just decided to make the cat into my partners cat “Maple” AKA Kitty Beans! After doing this, I knew immediately that I wanted to make a bunch of breeds and see how they would look in this design.

From there, I started adding more accessories and planning on doing a bunch of little personalized cats! It then somehow spawned into a way for me to make cat stickers for people who want to immortalize their furry friend into a sticker they can have forever!

The whole visual style & influence came completely from my mind! Because it started from a super rough sketch, I just kept playing around with it. I just wanted to capture that look of a cat right before it goes into full crazy zoomies mode! Hence the crazy eyes!

Beginning as a tiny terror and changing into a design that I wanted to make for my partner, I ended up making the cat the personality of “Maple” (my partners cat). I wanted to add the crazy eyes and this worked immediately because it became a narrative for when cats begin their 3 am bonkers “Fuck shit up” zoomies journey!

It’s like when a cat suddenly opens its eyes super wide and you begin to fear for your life!

My overall design process for fur goblins is the ability to make specialized stickers using assets that I pre-make!

It starts with a breed thats available to choose from when designing a specific cat! If someone has a cat breed that I haven’t made yet, then I get to add it to the roster of choices! *This allows for more options in the future!*

The next step is to choice a background color for the sparkle outline! This allows for the cat to show more personality by adapting the individual’s favorite color into the design!

Lastly, is different accessories that I want to have available for choosing! These are extra and dont have to be incorporated into a specific design, but this allows for the individual wanting a design to have an ability to further personalize their little fur goblin. *These will include hats, items, clothing, etc!*

This is a build-your-own cat (Like a Build-A-Bear or Funko Pop Creation). The more cats I make, the more options I’ll have for new cats!

This name is something that I sat on for a long time! I honestly had no idea what I wanted to call this project, & it definitely took some time for me to eventually start to like the “Fur Goblins” name.

Cats have such a unique personality and this could be a plethora of different names! I had multiple that I was bouncing between, but sticking with Fur Goblins was the better choice in my opinion! I think the name fits well with my overall horror vibe and Oridrami aesthetic, while still maintaining an identity on its own!

My future plan for Fur Goblins is to make a cat for every cat parent! Thats definitely not feasible, but I at least want to give someone the ability to make one if they want!

So I will try and go above & beyond to make sure that I have an extensive amount of different elements (breeds, colors, accessories, etc) to allow for complete personalization!
